BMS Volleyball vs. Devine 10/11/23

8th Grade A Team

On Wednesday night our volleyball girls traveled to Devine. Transition was our main focus and being sure we were able to pick up each ball hit at us. These girls were ready to take on the challenge after a long fall break but were unable to shake off some really tough serves in the beginning. We lost 18-25 in the first set. We learned that when things are unpredictable we must trust in the process, our team, and ourselves. We gained momentum in the second set but were unable to wrangle the Fillies. Score was 15-25. I am so proud of each of these girls for demonstrating their movement and showing their growth in transitioning. The Lady Bulldogs will host Uvalde Wednesday, October 18th at 6pm. Please come out and show your support!

8th Grade B Team

In an electrifying match between Devine and Bandera's 8th Grade B teams, both squads showcased exceptional volleyball skills. Jasmine Longoria and Leighann Spangler stood out with their impeccable serving aces, driving Devine forward. Gracelynn Upton impressed all with a remarkable dig and a powerful hitting kill. Despite the intense competition, Devine emerged victorious in the 3rd set, but both teams deserve praise for their outstanding performance on the court.
