8A - The 8th Grade BMS Boys Basketball Team traveled to Pearsall for a game on Monday. The Bulldogs came out with great energy and played almost flawless defense in the first quarter. The Dogs struggled on the offensive side only finding the bucket 1 time, but the defensive effort kept them close. The score at the end of the 1st was 2-7 in favor or Pearsall. The 2nd quarter offensive woes continued for the Dogs and fell to a 2-23 deficit at the half. After half the Bulldogs finally got going on offense and ended the game with a score of 15-43. This score is not a true representation of how well the Bulldogs play played for much of the game. The energy and defensive effort was incredible to watch. Bandera was led in scoring by Mack Pate with 8 points, Garrett Sauers and Chris Martinez both chipped in 2 points in the contest. The Bulldogs are back in action on Jan. 11th vs Devine at home.
8B - The BMS 8B team played a tough game vs Pearsall. The game was close most of the way, but the Dogs just could not score as needed. The game ended with a score of 2-14 Pearsall. Logan Esters scored the lone basket for the Dogs. The Bulldogs gave great effort on defense and handled the press most of the game well. Bandera is getting better each week!
