Chromebook Repair & Replacement Policies

Dear Bandera ISD Parents and Guardians,

We are writing to provide you with important information regarding the care and replacement costs associated with our school-issued Chromebooks. We understand that these devices are valuable tools for learning, and we want to work with you to ensure their continued availability and functionality for all students.

Chromebook Care and Responsibility:

  • Student Responsibility: Students are responsible for the safekeeping and proper use of their assigned Chromebooks. This includes following the district's technology guidelines and taking reasonable precautions to prevent damage.
  • Damage: Any damage will be the responsibility of the student or their family. This includes, but is not limited to, dropping the Chromebook, spilling liquids on it, or using it for unauthorized activities.

Replacement Costs:

  • Screen Replacement: $50
  • Keyboard Replacement: $80
  • Charger Replacement: $15
  • New Chromebook: $300

Please note: These costs are subject to change.

We understand that unexpected costs can be a burden for families. If you have any concerns about Chromebook care or replacement costs, please do not hesitate to contact your child's school or the technology department.
