8th Grade A Team
The Lady Bulldogs traveled to Carrizo Springs to take on the Lady Cats. In the first game we struggled to set a tempo. We lost 14-25. The second set, these ladies came together as a team and worked hard to push us to a third set winning 25-23. The third set started out strong with a 7 point lead but we started struggling as our nerves started to set in as Carrizo Springs seemed to keep finding the holes in our defense. We fell short 11-15. Throughout the game every player pushed themselves and I can not be more proud of their perseverance and fight. Overall it’s good to see the progress in this team despite the outcome. Aces this week goes to Blu Rollo and Hadley Rogers with 8 each. Elizabeth D'Spain contributed to the net with 6 kills and 1 block. Rehnahta Gomez moved great defensively, picking up each ball that came her way. Your Lady Bulldogs face the Uvalde Lobos on September 16th here in our doghouse.

Bandera 7th Grade A team took on a hard serving Carrizo Springs Team losing in two sets 24-26 and 14-25. We had a lot of positives with the first thing being our serves! We had multiple girls able to serve in chunks to help keep us in the game: Brenna Byrd with 10 serving aces, Hailey Feller, Harper Hartsfield, and Emily Short with four each, Colbie Lalanne with three. . We had some weakness with our serve receive, but made some adjustments to help improve our play. Every one of the players were able to get some digs on the floor. Brenna and Harper led the team with 15 digs each. We are attempting to pass, set, hit and we are making progress to know where to transition too.
