School Board Appreciation Month!

The TASB theme for 2026 is “Our Future Is Public.” This campaign highlights the powerful impact of public education and celebrates the success stories happening right here in our local districts.

School boards play a vital role in providing local governance and oversight for our schools. While the state holds ultimate responsibility for education, Texas entrusts local communities, through elected trustees, to make decisions that best serve their students, staff, and families. This shared responsibility ensures that local voices help shape the future of education.

A special thank you to our Bandera ISD School Board Members. We are truly grateful for their service, leadership, and dedication to our district.

Last night, we kicked off the month with a School Board Appreciation Dinner, where our principals presented board members with a hand-painted rendition of the original school, now to be proudly displayed in the boardroom.
